Foundations Business Planning Class – La Grande

Join a cohort of aspiring and existing entrepreneurs to gain all of the foundational business skills needed to turn your business dream into a reality.

Delivered to hundreds of entrepreneurs the Foundations Business Planning course has helped entrepreneurs build a solid strategy on how to go from dreamer to entrepreneur.

In 18 hours over 6 weekly sessions, participants will develop key foundational business knowledge, operations, financials, research and development, and marketing strategies.

Leave the course with a business plan, a clear vision for your business, and concrete tasks for future work.

Week 1 – Stepping Onto the Path

Understanding entrepreneurship, your path, business model, and the steps ahead.

Week 2 – Laying the Foundation

Take a look at business structures, business operations, defining our “lines” of business, and analyzing financial essentials, from overhead costs to break-even points.

Week 3 – Know Your Story

Creating pricing that works, sales & customer relationships, and finding the value in marketing, and branding that works.

Week 4 – Making Money

Understanding the sales process and forecasting.

Week 5 – Feedback and Financing

Gain perspective from your cohort peers and have a chance to chat with a lender about gaining the capital needed for your business.

Week 6 – Goodbye and Goodluck

Finally, we’ll present our businesses, share final pitches, and plan for the next steps.

Tuesday nights 6-9 p.m. from October 21 – November 25 or December 2 (It will be December 2 if we skip the Tuesday of Thanksgiving week which will be a class decision)

Project Submission Form: Baker, Union, and Wallowa Counties

Please use this form to submit projects for potential inclusion in the Northeast Oregon Economic Development District’s Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS). Once projects are included, you can use the CEDS to demonstrate that your project has been listed in a regional plan. Projects should have a positive impact on economic or community development.

To be included in the CEDS, projects must have a public or non-profit sponsor. Private projects should not be submitted and will not be included in the CEDS.

You may submit multiple projects by returning to this page. The space for providing answers will expand. 

The NEOEDD board will consider new project additions at their quarterly meetings.
